The dissertation is dedicated to a study of the process of the hydraulic classification of the coal slime and solves the common problem of reduction of the energy consumption of the water-sludge of coal-concentrating factories.

In the dissertation the studies of the hydraulic classification of the coal slime in the sand cones with the siphon unloading of discharge on the basis of the stochastic simulation of the processes of separation are executed. It is established that the separative characteristic of sand cone with the siphon unloading of discharge is asymmetrical curved, whose mathematical description is the parametric solution of the equation of Kolmogorov-Fokker-Planck with the removal explicitly or in the form of numerical algorithm.

With the aid of the solution of the equation of mass transfer the presence is established and the form of the nonlinear coupling of the technological, design and hydrodynamic parameters, which are expressed through the vector of the parameters with the local particle concentration in the volume of apparatus. The dependence of the effectiveness of classification on the vector of the parameters is obtained and the procedure of its determination is developed.

On the basis technological and of the design specifications accepted, the parameters are substantiated and the procedure of the engineering calculation is developed, which are used for developing the sand cones with the siphon unloading of discharge TSAS - 100, TSAS - 320, TSAS - 350 and TSAS - 710.

The results of studies are used for the development of the energy-saving technology of the hydraulic classification of sludge products on TSOF "Commendantskaya".

The introduction of this technology made it possible to increase the output of type AH by 0,2% and to remove 2 pumps SHN - 250 from the operation.

Economic effect composes 1,5 mln. grn/year.
